User Interface

Anchorpoint's browser works like a normal file browser on the File System. It can move, rename, copy&paste and delete files and folders by drag&drop.

"Anchorpoint Browser"

The Anchorpoint browser

1. Timeline#

In the timeline you can find the complete project history with all published versions of your team members. Here you can see who did what, when and jump back to previous versions.

2. Content Database#

Each folder on the file system can contain at least two databases in Anchorpoint. This is the list of subfolders or the list of files. Databases can contain attributes like tags, notes or a date per folder or file.

3. Attributes#

Here you can add columns with information like in an Excel table. This means you can completely customize your interface by adding tags, notes, ratings, users, dates, time tracking, checkboxes etc.

4. Learning#

Advanced tooltips explain each interface element of Anchorpoint when you hover over them.

The preview is accessible either by clicking the button on the top left of individual files. You can also select a file and press the spacebar. The Escape key brings you back to the browser.

"Anchorpoint File Preview"

5. Actions [not fully implemented yet]#

The actions system allows the automation of processes. Creating folder structures, file volumes, conversions to other file formats or integrations to other applications can be done with this system. For this Anchorpoint offers standard actions and a Python API, with which you can write your own actions.

6. Versions#

Shows the versions of a file and the corresponding information who did what and when. Here you can click on the version text to see the preview image and jump back to older versions.
